NOTE: Until there are more players, app process is almost musebox style. Current players can app their second characters without samples/personality, as can people that they invite in. New players have to fill out the app.
Appable Characters
Because this is generally a small game (and not very serious), we have a lot of give on characters that can be apped. If you want to be sure, you can ask in the comments section of the FAQ page.
- Canon Characters
- Characters as they're represented in their canon.
- CRAUs
- Characters that have been changed through the course of a game. The app should account for their game history.
- Malleable Canon Characters
- World of Darkness, Shepards, Wanderers, Couriers, Sole Survivors, the GTA Online Protag, anything of that variety. Again, we'll need a very thorough history and an explanation of how the world.
- OCs
- Allowed with sufficient application information.
- Drastically Altered AUs
- Entirely different AUs. The characters as they would appear in an entirely different setting. For example, Tony Stark being a Victorian Inventor with a League of Extraordinary Avengers or Kim Possible as a barista. If you can give a thorough history for it, have fun.
- Vague Canon Characters
- If someone is mentioned once and is seen briefly (like the future son or the dead cop partner etc.) but otherwise doesn't have a specific personality, they may app when invited by what would be their closest canonmate. Please provide a thorough app gleaning as much info/personality as you can.
This is subject to change in the future, but if any group is excluded no one will be made to drop their character. Note that only two versions of any character may be apped at a time, and they need to be notably different from each other. This includes canon and its AUs, CRAU, and drastically altered AU.
How to Apply
Our application is a little bit different from most games, and we hope that it's pretty simple (especially for new characters).
Copy and paste the form below into a journal and fill it out. If it's confusing, the instructions are below. There aren't word limits, but please fill it out enough that you feel like people who might read your app have relevant information. Some will be going in canonblind to even the most popular of canons.
Please don't app unless you are 18+ years of age.

NAME: Your Name
18+ AGE: Yes/No
ARE YOU NEW: Are you new to the game or have you played here before?
IC Information
CHARACTER: Character Name.
HISTORY: A link to their history or a detailed description of it. This is especially important if the character is an OC. Include your canon point here.
WORLD: Give a loose description of the world they come from. If this is difficult and it's notably different from our modern world, tell us what the environment is like, the people are like, what social units there are, threats, and some history to explain how it got that way.
PERSONALITY: Rather than have a first person sample, the sample is also the personality section. There's no word limit, but instead your character will respond as though they're being given the final interview for work clearance at the resort. They can even lie if it's IC for them, but account for that in meta. Throw in as much thought and behavior as you like.
"I need you to go stand in here for the interview. Yes, the room will be dark and there will be a spotlight on you. Please remember this is so we're focused on you."

We require a test drive starter here. It doesn't have to have responses, but so long as it's posted and linked we're satisfied. It must have either a few lines of dialog or some significant meta insight into the character. It can be prose or action.
