IntroductionOriginally Jobs weren't required to come to Blackway, but after the planetary quarantine the work was essential and Jeffers hoped that the people from the outside could help maintain, or even reinvigorate the village without it's typical tourism. Since that point, Jeffers has required that Travel Agents offer work positions as well as a comfortable living space to all those that come to stay at the resort or live in the town around it. Characters can run businesses from space they rent from Blackstaff. More information on this can be found in The Town of Blackway information page. A ‡ by a name indicates the character is on work release. They're not allowed a job as a Travel Agent or in Security. Those hired as Travel Agents or Security also undergo full background checks to ensure they aren't prone to exploiting their position of authority (this isn't always foolproof). Security officers take protection oaths. A character can only have two jobs at once (including a crime syndicate affiliation)- this is to encourage people to go to other people when they need something. Fill out the from below to sign your character for a job. Be sure to leave the textarea html (but replace the "Character Name" and "username" portion in it with the relevant information.
Exploration and Research Teams - Explorer
- Scientists assigned to investigate local areas with fine-turned scanners and an educated eye. Requirements include the ability to record and interpret the data they collect. All explorers are expected to be accompanied by one or more guides. The museum will supply them with necessary scanning devices and some weather resistant clothing, but additional protection is up to the explorer or any attending guides. Scanning devices may require an explorer to go underground if searching for subterranean structures, as the scanners receive interference from above the caves. If caught stealing or aiding in black market sales, compensation for the lost objects will be taken from their paycheck and patrol may occasionally be asked to check in on their residence (or sterner punishments depending on the degree of transgression).

- The wilderness escort for an explorer. Requirements are general survival skills and a learned familiarity with the area, either through a month long course available through the museum or an apprenticeship with an existing guide. They also aid in the return of larger artefacts by using transport equipment and providing guard against theft. Guides are given a medical kit with anti-venom, a healing elixir (that tastes terrible), and a bone regenerator. They're also supplied with a box of battery operated torches that remain lit for a year (they resemble large rave sticks). If a guide is caught caught aiding in theft, compensation for the lost objects will be taken from their paycheck and patrol may occasionally be asked to check in on their residence (or sterner punishments depending on the degree of transgression).

- Scientists assigned to analyze and research artefacts that are recovered by the exploration teams. They have designated work areas in the museum laboratory. It's one large room, but a scientist may ask for dividers if they want them. Supplies vary from scientist to scientist: the museum will fill most orders but they can't be removed from the building without signing them out.

Criminal AffiliationsFor more information on the organized crime and what they require of their members, visit the Criminal Organizations page. - Black Sun Syndicate

Narvin | timesbureaucrat - Orion Syndicate
